Tallawong Station will be an open cut station, meaning it’s open to the skies, with a canopy providing shade and cover to parts of the platforms. The station is approximately six (6) metres below street level and approximately 48 kilometres north west of Sydney CBD.
The stations entrance and concourse is located on the northern side of the station at street level via a newly developed access road between Cudgegong and Tallawong Roads, establishing a public forecourt for a future village centre.
There will be a strong emphasis on pedestrian access at the station and a dedicated pedestrian bridge across the rail line will provide direct connections to the local shops and commercial activities.
